The employer needs someone who are committed to their particular positions and company goals. When committed individuals work together as a team towards company goals, everyone benefits. 3.Helpfulness with Others Being helpful to other people is never going to get in the way of your success. The sooner you realize that we're really all in this together, and that there's plenty of room for everyone to thrive, the more successful you'll be in achieving your goals in life and in business. The more helpful an attitude employee have, the more people want to be around them at work and the more willing they are to partner with those employees on key projects and initiatives. 4.Keep enthusiasm with your job If you love your job, t’s really not that hard to trigger a fresh sense of passion every time you face another day at work. When you do something full of dedication and enthusiasm, you’ll be able to push yourself to achieve more than what is expected of you. So learn to set a clear goal or create a sense of purpose whenever you have a new assignment. 5.Innovative & Creative thinking Employees with an innovative attitude don't shy away from trying something new or finding a different way to do things. When you're interested in new possibilities, and able to think creatively, you're more likely to stay energized in your role. 1. Look for a new job even if you are happy in your current role. The best time to land a new job is when you’re not frantically looking for one. While you might like and feel happy the job you are in, stay on top of the market as you never know when your dream job becomes available so you don't want to miss out because you were not prepared. Therefore, you should be prepared all the time. 2. Networking You can take your time pursuing opportunities and forging relationships – attend lunch meetings with your former boss, participate in industry events and networking mixers. Don’t be a hit-and-run networker: connecting, getting what you want, and then disappearing, never to be heard from until the next time you need something. 3. Resume Please ensure your resume is up to date so that you could sell yourself if you decide to make that next move. Upload your up to date resume in different job search platform and you could save yourself a lot of time and effort job hunting. 4. Target companies You must have a clear idea of the role you are pursuing and a general sense of the kind of organization you’re looking for. If your target company just won a huge contract, you can contact and see if they are going to be hiring. 5. Reach out to specialist recruiter A recruiter is always looking for quality candidates and they are usually the first person to know about a new role before it is even advertised. Besides that, recruiters also have access to internal information about job openings and the hiring company that is not always publicly available. What you have to do after the interview? 1. Evaluate Evaluate yourself immediately after your interview, reflect on what went well and what didn’t. Make notes on what you need to work on and what you can address in your follow up. 2. Contact Time to contact your references and discuss the position about what they can expect from the potential employer. 3. Follow up Send a follow up letter thanking the interviewer and restating your enthusiasm for the job opportunity after the interview. 4.Carry on Keep on with your job search. A good interview is no guarantee of a job offer. Be encouraged by its success and use it to motivate you to attack your job search with renewed energy. |
